Two coats of matte or gloss topcoat — MANDATORY in bathrooms. Creates a fully sealed, waterproof, stain-resistant surface. Do not skip the second coat.
2nd Finish Coat
Titanium or SuperTitanium BC
Second decorative coat — builds color depth and creates the final visual texture. Steel trowel application.

First decorative coat — sets the base color. Applied in thin, overlapping strokes with a flexible steel trowel.

Rasante One — levelling coat
Second levelling coat — creates a smooth, uniform surface for the decorative finish coats.

First basecoat applied over the fiberglass mesh — locks the mesh in place and begins building thickness for the system.
Fiberglass Mesh
Glass Mat 300 — structural reinforcement
Alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh pressed into wet basecoat. MANDATORY for all bathroom applications — distributes stress from moisture expansion and prevents cracking.
Primer
Atriafloor Primer BC — epoxy bonding
Epoxy bonding primer — creates a chemical bridge between the bathroom substrate and the microcement system. Essential for adhesion on tile and backer board.
Prepared Surface
Clean · dry · structurally sound · waterproofed
Surface must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. Existing tile should be scarified. Plasterboard in wet zones must have a waterproof membrane underneath.
Wet Areas Require Proper Waterproofing
Like any tiled or finished surface in a wet environment, microcement installations in showers, bathrooms, and wet rooms require a properly prepared and waterproofed substrate before the microcement system is applied. This is the same standard that applies to traditional tile installations — the waterproofing membrane goes down first, then the finish system on top.

Two-component water-dilutable polyurethane UV-resistant transparent finish with ISO 22196:2011 antibacterial certification. Creates a durable protective film that preserves surfaces from daily wear, chemical agents, and stains. Matte finish (10-18 gloss at 60°). Antibacterial action tested against E. coli and S. aureus.
